Black Friday Giveaway!!!

Regular readers might remember a giveaway contest we did about a year and a half ago. Well CSN web stores have partnered with Home Sweet Split Level again for another fun giveaway. This time, the winner will receive a free $45 promotional code to use at any of their 200+ web stores. CSN Stores has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from stylish furniture, a leather briefcase, or great cookware! I myself would use the money at Allmodern.com of course!

Forget all that crazy Black Friday shopping and do your Christmas shopping from your own MCM pad. I have only ventured out once for early morning Black Friday sales, and after doing so I vowed to never do it again! So let Home Sweet Split Level and CSN help you with some of your Christmas shopping this year. Oh, and if you decide to spend the money on yourself, we won’t tell anyone!

Here is How To Enter:

1) Become a follower of our new Twitter feed by going HERE

2) If you don’t already, become a follower of our blog

3) Post a link to this post on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc…(Please make sure to post a link in your comment)

4) Leave a comment to this post telling us what mid century projects you have on tap for 2011. Also, make sure to tell us each of the above things you did, if any.

At a minimum, make sure to leave a comment to enter. Each of the other actions you do also gets you an entry. So, in theory, you could have up to four entries into the giveaway. Pretty simple right!

Starting today, the contest will run for a week and a half and the winner will be chosen at random on December 6, 2010. We will announce the winner that day so you can get your prize in time to spend it on Christmas gifts!

As always, thanks for taking some time out of your day and seeing what we are up to and GOOD LUCK!

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

Wow…things have been super busy over here in our neck of Northcrest! We are in the midst of a major overhaul of the basement. Our dream of both a workshop in the backroom and full service tiki bar in the front is finally coming to fruition. Without giving too much away, we converted some original Northcrest kitchen cabinets that were slated to be wasted and sent to the dump, into a full on workbench. It just shocks me to see interiors of our homes wiped clean of any true mid century personality. However, tons of storage for tools and so forth is now all ours! Now we can boast of two original kitchens!

The front room of the basement is quickly being converted into the third incarnation of our beloved Wiki Wiki Room. Below is a quick preview, so stay tuned and we will have a full on story of the process. We have always envisioned the front basement room as a place to escape; this dream is becoming more and more real on a daily basis.

Also, Home Sweet Split Level has taken another step out into the virtual world. We are now on Twitter and you can follow us here: HomeSweetSplitLevel. In celebration of this, we are going to be having our own little “Black Friday” giveaway this Friday. So make sure to check back in order to get all the details!

Not only have things been busy at the house, but Jordan's fattycakes is taking off. This past weekend was the annual Indie Craft Experience's Holiday Show. This has become an annual event for her and fattycakes now. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us and all the amazing crafters that were there. Make sure to head over to the new fattycakes website to see where she will be next!

So, that is it for now. We just want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving and you can read all about my feelings towards it HERE. This year, there is a lot going on our lives. Life sometimes just gets out of control no matter what you do. So take sometime this year and think about your true friends, your family, and all that you hold dear when you sit down at the dinner table tomorrow. Life is so quick, and there are going to be those tough times. In order to mitigate thses periods, I think it helps to remind yourself of the real people who support you no matter what, to be as unselfish as you can, and remember and value all your wonderful memories of people and great times.
Happy Thanksgiving 2010 Everyone!
