Wanna Join the Northcrest Mid Century Modern Fun?

This weekend was an early taste of spring here in Atlanta. The warm weather we had seemed to draw everyone here in Northcrest outside. In addition to the warm breezes, open houses abounded this weekend. We always enjoy heading out to them and getting a chance to see all the interesting mid century modern floor plans here in Northcrest.

One of our friends and neighbors, Vanessa Reilly has just finished a gem of a flip here in the neighborhood. Her taste for mid century details is quite apparent as you walk through the house. I’m truly jealous of the Viking range in the kitchen and the cool screened in patio off the lower level. The house has a great floor plan with loads of natural light. This one is not going to last for sure!

The next two homes are listed by yet another neighbor here in Northcrest, Cindi Sokol. The first house is on what has to be the highest spot in Northcrest and probably one of the nicest lots as well. The house is in perfect condition and maintains many of the original features. The house is still occupied by the original owners and possesses the highly coveted full basement.

The last house we went into is a bit on the wonky side but has a lot of potential. The backyard has a very nice pool and an awesome two story “shed” that could be used for multiple purposes. Inside the house is where things get a bit odd but the bones are still there for the new owner to build upon. The Hollywood bath still has its original tile floor that is in really nice shape. By the way, if you are reading this and end up being the new owners…please get in touch with us if you decide to update the bathroom as we would love to have the sink!

Ok…so stay tuned…lots of new topics are in the works. The highly anticipated “How to put down hardwood floors yourself and not kill yourself or your loved ones” post is coming up soon. After that we have some fun action pictures and video from our first sledding adventures in Northcrest entitled “How to sled on partly snow covered streets and not kill yourself or your loved ones”. If this is still not enough, the 20th Century Cincinnati Modern show is this weekend and we promise to to fill everyone in on the fun!
