I Saw a Werewolf Drinking A Pina Colada at Trader Vic's

Who's looking for something to do prior to heading out on Halloween night? If you are, then why not put your costume on early and head down to the club for the first ever Halloween Spook-Tacular this Saturday (Oct. 31) from 1 PM to 4PM. We will be having some really fun events including a costume contest for both the kids and the adults, pumpkin carving contest, giant bounce house, carnival games, and a fun hayride parade through the neighborhood! Plus, make sure to bring your appetite as we'll be firing up the grill, great side dishes, and a bake sale with plenty of tasty treats!

Recently, we have been writing primarily about events in Northcrest and hoping to help spread the word about them. I have to say, we have been spending most of our free time the last few months helping out with the club and the great events that have taken place. Helping out has been great and we have been able to meet so many of our wonderful neighbors. Again, the unique homes here in Northcrest are just one part of the equation. As I have said in the past and will repeat it again here, it is the folks here in Northcrest that make it so special.

We have also been busy around the house with some projects. Neighbors may have noticed on the last few Fridays a bunch of sheetrock, paneling, and trim in our trash. We are moving full speed ahead after the Spook-Tacular in the basement. Stay tuned and we'll fill you in on the full story. One hint:

Why would you drink a Pina Colada at Trader Vics? Always go for a Honi-Honi!

Northcrest Neighborhood Yard Sale 2009

If you don’t already know, this Saturday (October 3), the Northcrest Swim and Tennis Club is hosting its annual Northcrest Neighborhood Yard Sale. This year over 40 homes will be participating and everyone should be able to find something they want for a good price. Items range from typical yard sale stuff all the way to great vintage items. If you happen to be looking for IKEA stuff, Jordan and I will be selling a desk and matching chairs, both in great shape. Plus, we will have many other great things for sale!

If you can’t find anything at the individual yard sales, head to the Club where you’ll find a great flea market setup as well as refreshments, freshly grilled hamburgers/hotdog plates for lunch, and bathrooms. You may even want to start there as you’ll be able to pick up a map showing all the homes participating in the sale.
It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day on Saturday, so come on out and say hello!

Make Sure To Bring Home Lots of Stuff!
